D.A. Is Crowned The Champion of The Hub’s “98 Mile” Rap Battle

Right now I’m doing that belt thing that Aaron Rodgers does. Yes, the championship is home where it belongs. Aboard the Mothership as our dash board hula-skirt chick. Jimmy Stewart, Fred and the other station never stood a chance.

Along the way, I picked up a new member of the posse in J-Murder. I got to get out the rhyme pad and scribble down some notes to tweak the competition. And Fred – who has been ripping me and the show on a daily basis – finally was served revenge, ice cold, with a side of Perks.
I got to work with the master of all mixes, the D.A. Show’s Music Czar, Mark Feldman – who also produces all of our outstandingly funky hourly opens. And channeled three of my fave rappers – Jay-Z, Biggie and Ludacris.
I was impressed by how the entire station was able to poke fun at itself and have a good time with such a crazy idea. Hopefully the other station is able to do the same. T&R brainstormed a homerun with this one.
I also loved the tweets/texts I received from listeners that said something along the lines of “D.A., I couldn’t stand you before. But you’ve got major street cred. Now I’m a fan. Keep doing the damn thing.” All it took was thoroughly decimating an entire rap battle? Okay, cool. Welcome aboard.
